What is IDES24 for individuals and freelancers?
IDES24 rents out private, fully equipped SAP sandbox systems for individuals, freelancers, and students—either ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA (2021–2025 FAA)—with all modules and the full ABAP Workbench. Access SAP GUI / Web GUI / Fiori, ready to go in 24–48 hours, starting at approx. 100 €/month, with monthly cancellation.

  • No. Your system is a Fully Activated Appliance pre-configured with IDES/BBP sample data across all modules – you can start clicking, experimenting, and learning right away. Additionally, you can access over 1,000 SAP online courses through our service partner.

  • For most, S/4HANA is worthwhile (it's the current SAP generation, increasingly in demand in job postings, and features a modern Fiori Launchpad). However, ECC 6.0 is still productive in many companies and relevant for existing/migration projects. With IDES24, you can book both and switch between them.

  • Yes. With the "with ABAP" option, you get a developer key and full access to the ABAP Workbench (SE80) – including your own programs, development objects, RFC, and import/export via transport. (There's a small additional fee for the developer ID, as SAP charges for it.)

  • Nope. The system runs hosted in the cloud – you just need internet and the free SAP GUI (or a browser/Fiori). It works on both Windows and Mac. No need for your own license either: IDES24 provides fully licensed SAP systems.

  • Yep. You can use it on a Mac via the SAP Java GUI, in a browser using Fiori / Web GUI, or on your iPhone/iPad with the SAP Fiori Client. Plus, you can easily switch between devices (work and home).

  • A Public SAP User is usually active right away, or within a few hours at most – your access details will arrive via email.
