An SAP sandbox is a standalone, preconfigured SAP system that is separate from the production business system. Companies use SAP sandboxes for employee training, system testing, customizing trials, migration preparation, and in-house development—without posing any risk to the live environment. At IDES24, you’ll receive SAP S/4HANA or ECC 6.0 fully set up with sample data, so you can start productive testing right away.

Once the contract is signed, your SAP system is typically set up within (Client: 1–3 days / Server: 3–5 days). You will receive your login credentials via email and can get started right away using the SAP GUI or the Fiori Launchpad. No dedicated IT infrastructure is required—the system runs in the cloud.

You can choose between SAP ECC 6.0 (with EhP8 on HANA) and SAP S/4 HANA in the 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025 FAA (Fully Activated Appliance) releases. This allows us to support both legacy systems and the latest S/4 HANA generations—which is important if you need a specific version for migration or training projects.

A Server Light is a dedicated SAP system with its own server, 5 users, and 2 clients—suitable for teams.
A Server Pro offers additional high-performance RAM and CPU resources, as well as full access to server settings—the ideal choice for consulting firms, larger teams, and production-level testing. -
A Private Client includes 5 user IDs by default (4 standard users + 1 ABAP user). Server Light and Server Pro also include 5 user IDs plus 2 clients and can be expanded to include additional users as needed— from a few users up to 500 users on dedicated servers. Additional users are billed according to a volume-based pricing structure.

No. The SAP system is provided fully configured and hosted. Your employees simply log in to the system via SAP GUI, WebGUI, or Fiori Launchpad—all you need is an internet connection. If desired, you can book additional SAP BASIS consulting hours for specific setup or administration requests.
